Pink
Note: Some years ago we - a group of four - used to play a game where one of us threw a word onto the table and we then penned a poem within a given time frame - if I remember correctly it was about ten minutes and the above poem came about as a result being given the word "Pink" to play with...lots of fun if you are so inclined....
A rosy hue
The colour of a flower
A lady’s bower
A shower of Spring
Through a rainbow mist
A shepherd’s delight
Softened with white
A lover’s tryst
blinded by rose coloured glasses
Passes
In a hot pink haze.
Skin pink
Scharpirelli
A Shocking Pink
Colour of a belly
Birth and blood.
Sunburnt noses
A bowl of roses
Even tiny little toesies
We’re in the Pink
A palette of colour in one hue.
and most definitely not
a psychedelic blue.
