9 Short Environmental Thoughts.

1

Spindly grey gums grow

Group rooted in valley base

Reaching up for space.

2

Skeletal spires sky spike

Paper bark gum flakes

Where treetops via for light.

3

Skeletal spires pierce

Skies where treetops fight for life

And ignore the space at gully base.

4

Gunmetal grey clouds

Serenity at sunrise

Alone, on the beach.

5

Steely grey, damp clouds

Fissured fingers etch the sky

Spot the earth with rain.

6

Rain promised grey clouds

Pierced by a bright , white sun

Sharpley, blinding sun.

7

Heavy rain breaks up

Mud hardened earth dust to mud

Drought breaking water.

8

Cratered earth, dusty cracks

New growth dies in arid dust

Time brings rain soaked life.

9

Soft rain, soft warm rain

An analgesic to the brain

Eco systems go spare.

Some good images here. Hope you don't mind, I added one of my own. It's been really wet in my part of the world.

Torrents of rain

hitting my face

spring drowns winter's charm.

Enjoyed your descriptions and words chosen to match it all together so completely. I really liked what you pictured with your words...! And I thought Arizona was dry!
